These are the terms and conditions of the King's College Alicante (KCA) Lost and Found website. The website gives lost items a chance of being returned. By signing in and using the site, you agree to these terms.
One account per person. Your account is created and linked automatically using your KCA school email address — only @kcpupils.org and @kings.education accounts can sign in.
The school will keep accounts and credentials secure and private, and will apply reasonable security measures to protect accounts and personal data. In the event of a data breach, affected users will be notified in accordance with applicable data protection law.
This website is for KCA staff and pupils to report and search for lost items. Spamming, or uploading inappropriate photographs or text, is not allowed.
Uploads are checked by automated content moderation before they appear on the board. If inappropriate content gets past the automated check, it may be reviewed manually and traced back to the account that posted it. Pupils may face consequences under normal school policy.
Your school email is visible to other users. When you post a found item, or claim an item as yours, your school email address is shown to other signed-in users of the site. This is deliberate: it discourages false claims and lets people arrange a handover. Do not use the site if you are not comfortable with this.
Only claim an item if you genuinely believe it is yours. When you claim, you are asked to describe how you know it belongs to you. Deliberately claiming property that is not yours is treated as a school discipline matter, and staff can see every claim made on an item side by side.
If you break these terms, you are responsible for the consequences of that misuse. Consequences will vary depending on what was done and are handled under school policy.
You can delete a found-item post you created at any time while it is still open, from the Your data page. Once somebody has claimed the item, the post can only be removed by a member of staff — this protects the person who is on their way to collect it. See the Privacy Policy for how to request deletion of anything else.
Access to this service ends when a pupil leaves the school. KCA reserves the right to end an individual pupil's access sooner if their use of the website has a negative impact on the school community, in line with school policy.
The creators of the website retain the core code and resources. Once the creators have left the college, maintenance is handed over to the school.

Changes to these terms will be notified by email by a member of staff.
